Distilled in Canada, comprised of 80% corn, 19% rye and 1% barley, this cask strength release punches hefty at 64.9% ABV. It's matured in wheated bourbon barrels and contains no additives. Nose: Buttery and sweet, waffle batter, honey, praline, cookie dough, toffee and a faint hint of pepper. All sweet, all day. This whisky shows its age and complexity throughout. Lastly, the earthtones, as Found North calls it, also sets this release apart from the others. The foundational component, the ex-Madeira rye, may only make up 4% of the blend, but now I believe Found North that it is the keystone.
